Proceed to Kiong Siak Street for morning breakfast at own expense. It is a one way road located near Chinatown. This place was once a prominent red light district area in 1960s. Continue journey by Public bus to Tiong Bahru, is just 1-2 stops away.
It is considered Singapore one of the oldest housing estate. You will be able to see a number of cafes at Tiong Poh Road. There is also the unique pre-war horse shoe house block at Yong Siak Street. The Tiong Bahru was once my favourite place to go for the Cheng Teng and Vegetarians mee hoon during childhood days. You can patronise the local traditional stalls. Here, you can go murals hunting as well.
After the tour, sit down at Old Tiong Bahru for your Bak Kut Te set Lunch.
Tour will end after the meal.
