Arriving at Pulau Ubin and we would board our local transport for Chek Jawa and No 1 House on Pulau Ubin. This is the only English Tudor style cottage in Singapore. We will explore the Chek Jawa mangrove area and study the biodiversity of Chek Jawa.
We would move on to explore the other half Pulau Ubin’s heritage and legacy like different Quarries such as the Ketam Quarries, Pekan Quarries that’s left behind and learn about the life of the residence here, the disused rubber plantations, the old prawn farms and Malay villages. There are quite a number of old Chinese tau pek kong temples dotted on the island. The most interesting temple on our visit is the temple dedicated to the German girl which has recently restored plus Butterfly Hill.
Returning to the main Pulau Ubin main village for our refreshment stop before heading back to Singapore mainland.
